Martin King-Turner – Managing Director

Martin is Managing Director of the National B2B Centre with over 20 years’ experience of applying IT and digital technologies and practices to real-world business challenges.

Martin started his professional life in IBM where he worked with a wide range of engineering and manufacturing companies implementing CAD/CAM and ERP solutions. He then moved into IT management and held a number of senior management positions in automotive, auto sport and Formula One, focused on exploiting and embedding digital technology within organisations.

Martin is passionate about ensuring businesses take maximum advantage of the opportunities offered by technology and continually seeks new ways in which the B2B Centre can help.

James Pennington – Associate Consultant and Trainer

James’s focus is helping clients understand how the adoption of IT can improve business operations. He has worked with a wide range of B2B Centre clients to reduce costs, improve their ROI on IT investment, increase sales and gain an overall competitive advantage.

He graduated with an Honours degree in Biological Science before moving onto a research programme at the University of Warwick focused on collaborative and team working in the automotive sector. This stimulated James’s interest in how organisations can most effectively implement technologies and led to a range of projects in both the public and private sector.

James has become a sought after speaker on topics such as SEO (search engine optimisation) , Google Analytics and online selling for many organisations and networking groups.

Gareth Edwards – Associate Consultant

Gareth’s passion is helping SMEs use digital marketing tools for business success. Over the past 15 years Gareth has provided marketing consultancy to a variety of businesses. He is now heavily focused on assisting SMEs to create exciting, sales generating content for websites, blogs and social media.

Gareth draws on his extensive hands-on experience as a technologist, marketer and consultant to provide a highly practical perspective to small and medium sized businesses.  Gareth’s focus is helping clients to identify their compelling business stories and then exploiting digital marketing channels to tell those stories to the people that matter.

Eric Witham – Associate Consultant

Before establishing his own consulting business in 2005, Eric had 20 years experience in technical development, quality management and implementation of business management systems, within both manufacturing and service industries. These included automotive tier 1 component manufacturing, packaging, high volume furniture manufacturing, and holding global responsibility for quality management strategy and programs, within a multi-national logistics organisation.

As a consultant Eric has specialised in assisting senior management teams, of private and public sector organisations, from both small SME’s, to global corporations, to assess their organisations, against recognised management system standards and business models, such as the EFQM Excellence Model. Eric is particularly passionate about providing SME’s with guidance to develop and implement organisational improvement plans, utilising a range of business improvement tools, in order to ‘take them to the next level’.

Eric has worked as an Assessor for Accredit UK, and was extensively involved in engaging with SME’s within the ICT sector, to develop rigorous, but ‘SME business friendly’ standards, and then providing coaching to improve their businesses to achieve certification, and set objectives for improvement.

Andrew Lloyd Gordon – Associate Trainer

Andrew Lloyd Gordon is a qualified professional marketer with 18 years experience of Digital Marketing and managing Digital Marketing projects. He has helped launch, manage and promote just about every type of web and ecommerce project.

Andrew is a highly experienced trainer and practitioner who has enabled the adoption of Digital Marketing, Lean and Agile at both the team level and as part of wider organisational transformations. He has done so for a range of clients – from blue chip organisations to small SME’s in both the Public and Private sector.

In addition to his work at the National B2B Centre, Andrew runs a variety of workshops and courses for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM), and several others. He is also an Associate Lecturer on the Future Media & Digital Communication MSc/MA at Birmingham City University (BCU).

Tracy Pound – Associate Trainer

Tracy has run her own business since 2000 and in total has 28 years’ experience in the I.T. industry. A Fellow of the Institute of Consulting and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute, Tracy actively seeks to help businesses improve their understanding and application of I.T. systems.

A registered PRINCE2 practitioner, Tracy has managed projects ranging from small implementations to full system replacements in excess of £1 million. Having spent 8 years in the Automotive sector Tracy has a thorough understanding of MRP system requirements as well as a strong background in teaching and implementing accounting systems for the last 26 years.

Andy Maus – Associate Consultant

Andy is a qualified IT professional with a 10 year track record of successfully specifying, installing and supporting IT systems in a wide range of small businesses and schools. Andy specialises in IT infrastructure including servers, virtualisation, desktop environments, anti-virus solutions and networking. He holds multiple qualifications in server and networking technologies from companies such as Microsoft and Cisco together with programming qualifications in languages such as C++ and Visual Basic.

Andy has direct experience of managing and supporting IT systems in small businesses together with first-hand knowledge of the IT sector. He also understands the critical success factors in selecting IT hardware, software and suppliers, having worked in both “user” and “supplier” organisations.

Mark Bonnett – Associate Consultant

Mark specialises in website design and usability. He has supported a large number of clients through the B2B web-site planning process: helping them to recognise the marketing context of their website and to specify more accurately the business requirements of their site for website developers.

Mark graduated with a Bsc in Geography and then completed his studies with an MSc in E-Commerce, before joining the B2B Centre.

As a website expert Mark is now a recognised source of knowledge on content management systems (CMS), PPC (Page-per-click), analytics and website tracking.

Jackie King-Turner BA (Hons), MBA – Sales Coach and Associate Consultant

Jackie’s passion is working with organisations to put the customer focus into their sales offerings.

She is a qualified Coach and Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming and has an MBA from Warwick Business School. Prior to becoming a consultant, Jackie delivered on her sales and sales management targets across a diversity of organisations, from SMEs to Global organisations.

She is a resourceful, educated and eloquent international businesswoman. In addition, Jackie has specific expertise in maximising individual potential, cross-cultural working in a Pan-European environment and global account management.
